Fan Submission Volume I

A big thanks to Guild Wars fan 'Silver Wind Dragon' for sending in these amazing pictures. Will you be going to see the Floating Castles or the Searing Crystals next beta weekend event? I know it was on my agenda!

Spotlight: Tyria Weekly

A lot of sites are brought to my attention while seeing where my traffic comes from. It's a splendid deal for those of us who seek information on a similar subject. I want to be able to return the favor for those of you who have brought attention to Project Tyria in a good way. In an expansion to the featured posts I have written up, I would also like to spotlight a few sites that have done the same for us every so often.

Today I want to mention Tyria Weekly, a video cast on Youtube that covers news and the like on Guild Wars and other MMOs. They seemed to say very kind and interesting things on Project Tyria (amongst other subjects).

So I ask that you take the time to watch their videos! I enjoy them a lot, and I think many of you would as well! You can find where they talk about Project Tyria towards the middle of the video, but I suggest you watch all of it.

On another note, for those of you eagerly awaiting more screenshots, I'm currently trying to gather more from the submissions of our fans. I just need to get some information from the owner of said submissions before I can post them up!

Pre vs Post Searing

I mentioned before that I also wanted this blog to have a bit of Pre- Post searing comparison as well. I know it's old news, but some people who are visiting honestly haven't played GW1 but look forward to GW2. I wanted to show the beauty of Pre-searing and the devastation of Post Searing GW1.

Also, I will continue putting my elementalist into these screenshots. You can't always take out the character in GW2 for screenshots, and I love to have my little mark on these pictures as people are putting them up on their sites. Think of it as a watermark!

In other news, we have hit 42 thousand views. I want to thank everyone again for taking the time to visit this small blog and for those sites that have featured Project Tyria! Thanks again, so much! <3

Massively.Joystiq Features Us

A big thank you to Justin Olivetti at Massively.Joystiq for featuring us on their site. As always, it's nice words and more views for us, and it is a great honor! I really appreciate the attention you have brought to this site, and I can't thank you all enough! Please head over and take the time to read their article!

Even More Features!

Project Tyria is growing into a mature little website with all the current views everyone is giving us! I'm happy to see that people like the website and I will continue to try and add more screenshots, but you'll have to wait for the next BWE or stress test. I'm hoping that when that also happens, you guys will submit some pictures as well!

Kill Ten Rats Feature
Kill Ten Rats has also kindly featured Project Tyria on their site. Like the other features, they say very nice things about us! I'd like to thank you guys, especially writer "Ravious"!

There were a few more, but they slipped from my stats page before I could catch them! So if you're reading this and you had featured the page, please contact me so I can properly thank you! And for anyone who wants to be added to the affiliates side of the blog, contact me as well and I can arrange for that to happen!
If any of you have any suggestions for the site, I'd love to hear them. Project Tyria is still a baby, but I'm looking foward to helping it mature into something special!

And for those of you who are on Facebook, Project Tyria has a Facebook group and could use your likes!  Project Tyria on Facebook

Featured on Guild Wars Insider!

I can't say what an honor it is to be featured on different websites.
Today, Project Tyria was featured on Guild Wars Insider!
Article

I want to thank them for taking the time to look at the blog and thanks to their forum member "Kenrid" for their contribution! Please find the time to visit their site! They said a lot of nice things about Project Tyria and they have loads of interesting articles and Beta news.

While you're visiting links, why not give Chronicles of Tyria a look? I'm no roleplayer, but I do love to read and write stories. The stories that the GW2 members make up are fantastic and this site is dedicated to getting those stories out there. They even translate Tyrian writings into English. It's close knit and very entertaining!

What Is Project Tyria?

What is Project Tyria?
I've always loved the graphic of the Guild Wars games and have grown to love the world of Tyria. There's nothing like adventuring through the vines of the Maguuma Jungle or trudging through the snow of the Shiverpeaks. Ascalon has evolved many times now, and a lot of Kryta is underwater. We were there in the before times, and now we arrive again in the after.
One of the things I absolutely adore are before and after pictures. Don't know why, maybe I like progress? But in celebration of the upcoming Guild Wars 2, I decided to do some comparison pictures to show the progress Tyria has made in the last 250 years. This blog is dedicated to showing those pictures off to the world!
If you have any pictures you want to add to the blog, feel free to contact me or post via our Facebook page: Project Tyria on Facebook. I will tag your name and even your GW related site to the pictures if I post them on the blog. I'm not only going to post my own pictures here, but anyone else who wants to join in to Project Tyria!
